A thursday pilgrimmage to Leeds tonight - had a walk around the Armouries and clarence dock with Dave Tandberg.

Not seen the building in the background before, so when it lit up red just after sunset (well the sunset we could see from the docks) it became a beacon of red in the otherise blue scene.

Different I hope

May get round to posting the RAW and converted TIFF in the mods Smile

Excellent well-balanced shot Ade. Taken at just the right time to capture that gorgeous sky.

ta

often the best way to face in a sunset of directly away from it, or in this case, at about 4 o'clock, so the polarier did it's business with the sky

ta folks - nice to see the HC badge Pete Smile ta

I think my PS work varies a lot with the subject Simon, I love rich and bold colours in landscapes, but somehow I see architecture differently, more clinical and produced than the organic look of landscapes. So I like to keep them looking cool, angular and really use the straight lines available.

reckon this "before and after" thing will catch on?

I was doing this last year by using "mods" to post the bits and bobs

the way the eye is drawn, via all those converging diagonals, towards the sunlit, centrally lit building is fantastic Ade.

I like this before and aft thingy.
New buildings popping up all over Leeds and this is a great shot of the dock.

Might be seeing a bit more of this myself as Rebecca is moving to Clarence dock next week to start at Leeds Uni.
