A cliché - something commonplace, familiar, but it's also the French equivalent of 'snap'... a moment in time frozen. I like this because it's a lot more than the standard spiral staircase composition. The figure moving through the spiral brings it to life. Plus there's the turquoise paint highlighting the 'cog wheels' of the tread, and complementing the red teeshirt. The whole effect is lively, dynamic.
I think you focused on the figure. I'd prefer to see the focus on the treads immediately above his/her head in the frame, and a slightly smaller aperture ( with increased ISO) - to bring the upper banisters more into focus. But that's a relatively minor quibble.

Hi,
thank you all for your attention and constructive advice (Moira)!
These photos have a "historical story!" After my "long" photographic history and participation at various FIAP and PSA contests, photos with such motives are pobirale awards and accolades! All the time I wondered, why? On the trip to Scandinavia (with her daughter and one of our fifth-shih-tzu), I said to myself, "let's see what the - catch 22?" As I already wrote, I photo - a rebel, and I do not hold the prescribed norms. Photography is in my conception of the document of the time, seen with my eyes and in my own way, not the kind of "art"! That is why I am delighted now cooperative agency Magnum, primarily photographers from the period 1930-1970!
Can you honestly say that the photos of the same motives much better, the lens Pentax WG-1 GPS. It has much wider angle!
greeting
Velja

It might be a cliche', but when it's as well done as this it still works. Don
