Back in the old town again, 2 weeks go on a sunday afternoon.

this is the Library with York Street (straight on), Well Gate (right) and Church Brow (left).

Down York Street is the White Horse (AKA the Pit) which was very oldy worldy the first time I went in there in 1990 for my 18th (had a trebble whiskey and a pint), but now serves Boddington's and is usually avoided really.

Just off shot to the left is the White Lion, which is a lot better and never seems to shut these days. Usually has a few ales on in there - free house I think.

on the Grammar school day speech days, we used to walk down the road on the left, then down york street to school, in a long procession of everyone in the school - quite a spectacle, but never happens since the boys and girl's schools mixed.

Not a lot else in the shot - there's a bank there to the right... ummmm

Good photography.
It,s not enough just to be competent with a camera these days, you have to be good with photoshop as well!

Great photo

Was there a couple of weeks ago Ade. Stayed at the camp site at Edisford Bridge. Had a few days of decent weather so the place was packed with the day trippers from Burnley and Blackburn. Place looked like a waste disposal site after they'd al gone.

Great shot; I like the view looking down both roads, the moody sky and the processing on the brickwork
