Hi Chris, Good attempt although I do feel the composition a little central and have tried to adjust with a crop and rotation but didn't have a great deal of room to work with. Also highlights are blown out on the white flowers and i've attempted to tone these down a bit with highlights slider in PS. It can be as much the background in photography as the foreground and insects don't often pose where you want them to.
Overall you've still managed to capture detail in the hornet itself.
