This is the closed railway station between Limerick & Castleconnel in Co. Limerick. The track is still used a couple of times a day with commuter trains and the 'slow' train to Dublin.
Taken on IR Converted Nikon D80, processed initially in PSE 11 and converted to B&W using Silver Efex.
A great mono image
Has a Marie Celeste feel, mysteriously deserted, that swing seat still swaying. I like the sense of mystery, as the track disappears round the bend.
The infrared gives a really dramatic---and empty feel. Beautiful.
I just noticed that the swing looks like it was arrested in mid-motion.
The rails of the train lead to a dramatic sky. Great b/w capture.
Thanks for the feed back, it is appreciated.
With regard to the swinging chair, it was a bit windy !!!
