What I like about this is the effort and force that has gone into making sure that this bolt will never be drawn again. There are two nails jamming it, plus a nut and bolt (which has a washer for some reason) and to top it all, the handle to draw the bolt has also been twisted out of shape so that it can never move again. Nevertheless, somebody has had a go at levering the entire thing off the door.

Love all the close-up detail - how does it look in B&W?

I just "knew" this had to be yours! Lovely warm colour of the wood complements the rust. Click

I would like to comment your photos, but I cant. They are from a different world and I do not have the insight to value them correctly.

But I cant se that you can take sharp photos.

The question is: What is lurking inside? I can't see any rational reason for an owner totally disabling the ability to get inside. Well seen Eric.

Thanks Duncan (loses a lot in bw), John, Jim, Ann, Peter, Keith, Jens and Nigel. Smile

Yes, Nigel, that was the irony of it. The whole of the building behind this door has in fact been demolished. Smile

Great textures, of course well captured. You can imagine a whole scenario behind the lock.
