The Focus seminar is written, the slideshow has been built and I'm a free man - see you at Focus. Yeeeee ha!!!
1m@f22 with, if I recall, five stops of soft grad at 45 degrees.
Like the colours from the sky on the water and again the level of detail really is very good - nice shot
Lovelly colours and a great sense of movement, yet still at the same time.....
........but is it art?
nice, very nice.....
Very pretty .... love the colours in this one. I know that's hardly cutting critique but it's what came into my mind first.
Good luck at Focus.
Colour & reflection are very good as is the exposure.
Beautiful work, lovely colours and reflections!
Is it art - is it chuff
Even I can do pretty colours
Cheers guys - back in a bit
Fruit nicely rotted, new batteries in my heckling megaphone, custard pies made and I'm all ready for the Focus seminar.
Bring it on yer pansy
With that kind of Oscar Wilde riposte I don't stand a chance.
A classic capture with some unusual and delicate hues. See you under the clock with the carnation then!
Great shot and beautiful colours! Love it.
It is stunning to look at, another corker.
PS thanks for the advice, Steve
back briefly but not in briefs - cheers
Can only agree with the above.
Not even in briefs ? I hope you find some before Focus !
I like the way the lines of the clouds echo the lines of the river and lead the eye to the centre of the picture. Gives quite a sense of movement. The lights in the windows add life to the pic. Pleasing colours too. Click. Now where was the point of focus ?
Flippin eck Keith, think i'm going to bin the lump of black plastic i own.
back again...briefly....thanks you lot....POF, John, was the window, bottom right
if you don't mind me saying so, this is the best HDR you've done Mr. H.
just my humble opinion...
Simply awesome Keith.
Only viewing on PDA but doesn't look HDR?
Very nicely done.
POF = window bottom right ?! That wastes DOF ! Tsk ... tsk !
back again....even more briefly...out of breath--------
That depends on how far from me that window is, John.
S'alright I s'pose.
It also depends on whether there is anything nearer to you than than the window which needs to be sharp too ...
Cracking shot Keith
Excellent work, I love the colours and reflections!
ta muchly....and no, it's a one off one minute exposure. I do have a HDR version....and it looks like this....except the boats aren't as sharp
The colours win me over on this one.. love it!
Stunning colour and composition
45 degrees ... Top Left to Bottom Right or vice versa?? ... however you set it up I like it Keith, nice one ... see ya Monday!!
fantastic detail and colour. the tones are just wonderful! great image mate!
thanks for the comments on this one -took a while to grow on me as the colours are not 'my' colours but it got there in the end.
and yep, Paul a two stopper at 30 degrees and a three stopper at about 45.
Like the colour of the sky reflected in the windows.
Full of brilliant details Keith. Love the lights in the window bottom right, the reflected sky in the window above and that small smoke plume on the skyline to name one or two.
Interesting verdigris buildings. This Coppergate? (sorry crap joke, please feel free to castigate!)
LOL....just sandstone under tungsten.
thanks you lot
this has to be viewed large
no movement on the boats either - very kind of them
Can't beat a good flood for slowing things down
I did some multiple exposure and the movement was suddenly very marked.
I am sure there is a reason, but why are the reflections of the buildings not green? I like it Keith, very nicely done.
See you at Focus, will bring a (rather late) deposit for april
Fantastic colors on this great night shot. Love the reflections.
good point, Martin - no idea, but even on the RAW file they aren't
ta f'ot comments
Superb shot Keith
tis' a beauty
Superb clarity Keith. Ron.
Absolutely fabulous, love those colours.
Stunning image Keith.
Quote: and yep, Paul a two stopper at 30 degrees and a three stopper at about 45
... cheers Keith for the explanation, just remebered you have one of those adjustable Lee holders that enable you to double angle ... mights have a look-see at focus and see what bargains are to be had ;-D
Great light and wonderful detail.
Wow amazing colours and light.
Certainly the best shot of my office that I've seen! You can almost see my desk!
I don't need any insurance
Beautifully taken, wonderful exposure, lighting, colours and detail, Superb.
well done Keith
Not much more I can add, it's all been said above. Lovely.

Outstanding image Keith...
WHAT A BRILLIANT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS EXELLENT!!!!
Thanks you lot - Focus time...see ya's next Thursday and some of you maybe on the EPZ stand in LK3.
Ditto to all the above........superb work.
Awesome image congrats on the EC.
I knew it was one of yours just from the thumbnail! Excellent yet again!
Congrats on a very well deserved EC!
stunning work Keith
It all looks very artistically done even though the reflection of the building on the left is a different colour than the building itself!
been mentioned already Patricko...but it is so on the raw files as well
Ah I see...never mind. I wonder how that happens?
Lovely work and congrats on the EC. The colours are stunning; I really like how the green tones of the building on the right balance those on the left. Beaut'.
Great work keith.
Excellent shot, love the colours
Superb image, I'd have lost money on this being an HDR shot lol.
I keep returning to it, to really take it in.
Lovely colours in this. Beautiful.
WOW!!! I'd buy that if it was in a gallery
Mmmm......I see that taking pride of place on my wall. Stunning colours. 178 clicks, I struggle to get into double figures Mind you, Keith, I suppose you are a tad more experienced than I!
i'd have gone a mm or so wider so as not to crop the windows on the right, gorgeous colours though.
