The pretty wine town of Cochem on the Mosel river, Germany is overlooked by impressive castle of the same name.
Rebuilt in the middle of the 19th. century a castle has stood on the site since the year 1000 AD.
And, wouldn't you know it, the day we were there there was a wine festival. I always make it a rule to join in local customs when travelling. Grin

Wow what a great looking place Ray plenty going on in both versions. Like your composition in both and both are great in their own ways, so vote each. Glad you took them before you took part in the wine festival Wink

Hi Ray, really enjoying your rhine pictures, brings back so many good memories, we cruise the rhine quite often, in fact we are going on another rhine cruise next week, hope the wine festival is still onWinkWinkWink. Luv v1 great composition and fantastic scenery, v2 is so typically german. Hope you had a great time and you have a few more pictures.
Well done mate.
