Afternoon!
We went to the 'Wigmore Hall' last Saturday and visited this hostelry close by in Wigmore Street. The pub wasn't much to look at from the outside, but pleasant enough inside. The sign however, I thought was rather good!
My good friend Barbara (baclark) usually uploads a 'tiger' picture on Saturdays, and this, is the nearest I can find! So far!
Also, I think this is the first upload from my recent Chrissie pressie, the Pentax KX, an excellent camera I can thoroughly recommend!

Hiya Tony, not a tiger today, a Serval! This is a rather good pub sign, don't think I've heard of a **** and Lion before. Hope the liquid refreshment was tasty? Good capture. Glad you are enjoying the Pentax!

The lion in this agreeable sign bears a strong resemblance to the one in my "Lion and Lamb" posted in September 2008. I wonder if there is a specialist soppy-lion-pub-sign-painter at large?
The implication of this sign is that the **** wins, or at least escapes....
