I did not start off with this in mind, but ended up here. Not the sort of thing I would normally do, but I thought the Mig-21 subject matter lent itself to this style of poster finish.

I would not normally say this, but please view large version you have the time as the poster style processing looks slightly more effective in the large version.

A mono version of the straight shot in the versions.

Source file is 5 frame (-2.6 -1.3 0 + 1.3 + 2.6) HDR.

Taken in one of the Duxford Hangers.

Not to everyone's liking in terms of effect and subject, but comments welcome either way.

Thanks for looking.

Neil

I like this .. and yes it does need to be viewed large. Has a lot of impact opened up. Nicely composed but it is the processing that does it for me ..

I like this a lot, looks great large due to the angle of the shot, one to be proud of!

Going to go against the grain here as I'm not that sold on the processing myself mate ... I'm not one for the posterised look but can respect you reasons for doing it. The shot however is a quality comp and angle though.

I think you should have added a "Photo Journalism" tag - - the scary thing is it might not be a relic for much longer!

Wouldn't normally like this processing but here I think it actually makes the shot. You obviously started with an outstanding image that was very well composed.

Prefer the colour, (a) because it's more colourful and (b) because I really like your title treatment. Impressive perspective too, making very good use of THAT lens.
