The infamous Colmers Hill at Symondsbury, Dorset - infamous 'cos I've seen more photos of this than I've had hot dinners but you just have to take one yourself. Wink

Colmer's Hill, which overlooks Symondsbury, although only 400 feet above sea level, can be seen from many locations and dominates the landscape around Bridport. It was named after the Rev. John Colmer, Rector 1805-6. The trees were planted on the top of the hill around WWI.

Very little wind here today and I sat there for about an hour and a half waiting for this lot to drift across, building nicely all the time. Nice thing about long lenses, big clouds look big.

. . a very iconic image that will doubtless be emulated by others? . . . nice to see an original take on this place Kris
