You know what? Votes are always nice and I thank you all for that. But as most of you know, I get the greatest kick out of the comments. So I’ll comment on a few right now
…
…ok…Lillian and Lynne (partners in crime), after reading your comments I thought of popping the eyes. BUT, the eyes are too small and they would’ve been lost in the poppage. I mentioned to Cassiecat the popping and she suggested popping the whole crab. Which is what you see in V1. I’m not very good, but there you go.
V2 is the colour version, Lynne. I’ve processed it minimally to preserve the original shot as much as poss. Kinda noisy in the background, though.
Tonyguitar: Those were bermudas and knee high black wellies ![]()
Annette: you’re not a heathen. I love seafood. You name it, I’ll eat it. This was a marine life exploration, though, so all lifeforms were purely eyeballed with no thoughts of seasoning/marination ![]()

V1 definitely, beautifully done, so much more interesting than the mono and with fewer distractions than the full colour version. Well done.
v1 for me, although the mono remains my favourite, which makes him look more delicate, as if he is made of fine porcelain ![]()

I had to pinch myself when I viewed these, the use of selective colouring has worked a treat here.
Just wonderful Andrew! Love the colour-popped version!

The colour popping looks good, andrew, a well-dressed crab!

ok. there is not os much meat on it and looks really cute. It will grow bigger and less cute but much more meaty ![]()

colour popping makes me think of sauce. as in garlic, soy and ginger with a hint of chilli.
I'll better shut up now.
