I spotted this little splash of colour on the outside of the gallery at Saltram House yesterday and liked the contrast between the bright colours of Autumn and the plain but detailed appearance of the old lead down-pipe (the white on which is not over-exposure but the white residue from the aging of the lead)

(I read somewhere that this year could well be the best Autumn colours for a long time - here's hoping Smile )

I like the softness of the ivy against the hardness of the wall, which has good texture, and the old down-pipe makes a nice feature in the image.
