An outdoor café next to Bassin de l'Arsenal in Paris that had closed for the day due to a family bereavement according to the notice on the door.

Many images to present to you over the next couple of weeks or so from my favourite city. Hope you don't get too bored...

Many thanks for bothering.

Malc

Have to say I am amazed at the difference between the 7D I had (which was brilliant) and my new 5DIII. Impressive to say the least.

Chairs having a day off, I like the idea.
My sort of travelogue, quirky and personal.

Wish you hadn't said that about the MkIIITongue I shall be wanting your thoughts on a full comparison, Malc. Excellent use of focus and perspective.

I am still awaiting the arrival of my 5D Mk II, final taking the step up to full frame DSLR. I was extremely tempted to go for the Mk III, however after reading the reviews, I still feel that the Mk II has got much more to offer than the Mk III. "Who needs a multi-exposure feature anyway?"

Back to reality, a cracking composition, one which lends its self to many possible interpretations.

Regards Nathan

A fine image that is much more than the sum of its parts.

Nicely composed image Malc, almost abstract in it's formation. I'm interested in the the new 5D too, how about the noise levels in the shadows?

I have come back tomorrow, in a manner of speaking, as I have only just seen this and it's Wednesday but you posted it on Tuesday Smile

Super, quirky image, says much about Paris out of season - always the best time to be there!

I thought I had noticed the birthday present. Without changing marques I'd love a D800 or even a D600 (I have a selection of prime lenses). But I'm trying to downsize and keep my back in order!

Really looking forward to your images from my favourite city!!!!!

Regards
Bill

Quirky and good. Don't forget..it's the man behind the camera that counts. It will be interesting to se if your photography improves as I thought it was good Now.

You're so lucky to have the 5D MkIII - not jealous at all! Fascinating effect with the use of dof.
