Now, I bet you're wondering how on earth I managed to get a shot like this....well, I didn't. It's not a photograph but more digital art. This time I've been playing with photo realistic imagery and trying to get it as close to the real thing as possible. I think it works...let me know what you think!
Thanks as always!

This looks very real to me, I would be interested to know how this ahieved. Excellent result.

Very convincing! The airbrushed clouds in the upper part of the frame are a bit of a stretch, IMO, but still look nice. Id like to see this w/o said clouds.

Wow! fantastic work!

I think you've pulled off an amazing image here. Some of the car companies are using CGI now for their TV ads in the States because it looks so real. This is great. Well done. I think you nailed the sky and clouds! Cheers, Martin

Hi,
Thanks for all the comments. This one, I've been working on for a couple of weeks on and off. I have a few on the go all at the same time, what I produce depends on what mood I'm in. I'm out most days taking real photographs of hotels, which is my job...doing these is just a side line, but I've always enjoyed drawing and creating images, nowadays with computers. The software's come on leaps and bounds in recent years which enables me to produce images like this and my others. I only really use a pen and paper when an idea pops into my head and I make a quick sketch.

Thanks again for the comments....I'm working on another now....fanstasy Halloweeny one I think...

Like it! The only thing I'm not sure of is the clouds above the left wing tip, someone else mentioned this too. But other than that it's very good. Is the aeroplane from a photo or did you create it from scratch? Good work.

The plane is a 3d model created in a brilliant piece of pro software called Lightwave 3D...The same software that movie and TV companies use for CG effects. I read that it was used for some of the effects in '24'.

excellent it sure does work for me.

Steve

fantastic work
