Hi Steph, snow shots can be difficult to get the snow looking white as it reflects the blue of the sky.. the auto white balance rarely gives yo white snow. Dirty plane windows also detract from the image of the Alps.
So in my mod I have used the remove colour cast tool in PS elements to remove the blue in the snow and the healing tool to get rid of some of the marks in the widow. I have also removed some of the sky placing the horizon nearer the upper thirds line.

Wow - what a sky! Personally I don't mind the blue cast in the snow - you kind of expect it with a sky like that. Cleaning up the marks on the window has worked well though. I would be interested to know what Willie has done to reduce the glare - it works for me.

You can't use a polariser through aircraft windows, you get stress patterns (rainbows) in the Perspex.
The sky is usually good that high up!
Better also to blag your way into 1st class, as it tends to be ahead of the wing and you get an unobstructed view!
As with a terrestrial landscape, you need a good subject to anchor the image. The mountains are nice, but not really enough, and the wing doesn't really do it for me. What you need is another aircraft flying in formation...
I like the colour, it emphasises the coldness.
