A definite cold and frosty morning. I like the composition and framing using the gate and post but would love to have seen the icy post sharp as well (personal preference, not a criticism).

Thanks Dave, I did look at that and thought exactly the same. Didn't actually consider it at the time of taking the shot.
I took the shot in 'apeture mode' but I'm guessing I needed to have control over 'shutter speed' to use a quicker setting and should have focused more on the post to get that sharp but still keep a good depth of field?
It's all still a bit confusing as I've only been into photography for about 2 months so would be very grateful for any help and tips from you all.
