The eye's of flies are of a complex compound nature, and I never tire of seeing them. The old rotting bird table in the garden still attracts then and this is a greenbottle one sat on it. The weather hasn't improved into the early afternoon, still dull and dreary. Bit of flash required again.

Oh my God, Paul! If you get any closer we won't know what it is. Superb clarity, colour and dof and the best macro shot I've seen in 2011. This deserves a lot of attention. Hope it gets it.
