My first attempt at using flashlight. It was quite a challenge to get familiar with the flash settings and then controlling of light. Using the flash was a totally different experience which I am sure will keep me busy learning the art of flash lighting.

Looks like a good first attempt to me. Very nice portrait.

Pretty good! The upward and rather serious pious look made me think of a renaissance painting. But the blue T-shirt rather detracted from that. Perhaps without the T-shirt or a different top would have been slightly better?

Very valid point. I was so focused on getting the light right and didn't even think of the T-shirt.........something I will have to consider in my next shot.
