Another portrait of my wife while we were at dinner with my son and daughter inlaw some time ago, this time she has a drink in hand
(unlike last time ) and still contemplating, what I have no idea, probably whether to have another drink or not
Again taken with my son's EF50mm f/1.8 II, I now have one of my won
so don't have to borrow his ![]()
Thank you all so much for all your C&C's very much appreciated
Thank for taking the time to look
Hugh

Great atmospheric shot of your ever patient wife Ronnnie![]()
OOps sorry Hugh got my eyes crossed still too early this morning for me Apologies to you and your ever patient wife. Hope my day gets better soon ![]()
Beautiful, intimate, just enough information.
My 50mm f1.8 is the lens that I use when I'm thinking, taking time. I believe that the Canon is as good. Glad that you've got your own now, it will suit your style very well.

She's probably wondering whether to clock you one with the rolling pin or the frying pan for taking another photo!! The eye is nicely highlighted by the light which is so important. A very effective low key portrait, Hugh.

Good low light capture just enough light where needed, good tones nicely done

Great light in this wonderful portrait of your lovely wife Hugh..Lin
I've come back to look at this, as I just love the light in it, and the contrasts of shadow and light, and now see there is a version 2 as per Richard's suggestion, and I must say that it does make the image more compelling.
