Good Evening All
My picture tonight was taken from the Sculpture Park, at Goodwood, near Chichester. John & I went to Chichester for a long weekend a couple of weeks ago. The Sculpure Park is set within woods on the grounds of Goodwood Park, it is an amazing place to visit, and if any of you have seen the pictures that John has uploaded of some of the Sculptures in the park, you will be sort of familiar with it. The Park as a whole is a very enjoyable walk, and plenty of photo opportunities. We arrived there at about lunch time, and as ever we sort of split up to take our own shots & takes on the sculptures, I am a bit of a scaredy cat, and when I came across this sculpture made of solid wood, I took a couple of shots, at this point I think there was only John & myself in the whole park and I couldn't see or hear John, and got a bit stressy!!! He was only a few yards away & thought it was funny that I got scared! I didn't think that I would put this up on EPZ,mainly because it isn't good enough.... but as it is Halloween tomorrow, I thought why not!! Don't know if you have seen John's upload "The Gathering", I have got to tell you when I actually saw them in the woods, I needed to get out of there PDQ!!!!
Thank you all for your votes and comments on my last upload "Ruby Red"..... as ever they are all so much appreciated. Hope you all have a happy, but safe Halloween ![]()

You done a great job Julie. Scared the pants of me![]()

A tremendous piece of work, Julie - not just the sculpture but your interpretation of it. The extreme highlights add to the fright: films of the '60s and '70s depicting atomic explosions almost always used flare and burned-out highlights to replicate nuclear flashback. A really thoughtful interpretation from you, much appreciated.

A fabulous carving Julie, cracking image, very well caught.

That's some sculpture Julie, an excellent take of it and very appropriate for Halloween! I've seen Johns images and mentioned that I wouldn't be too keen on seeing them in daylight let alone the dark, so well done you for wandering about on your own - I'm impressed!

A very sinister looking carving indeed, I bet it looks quite scary at twilight
