Love the body action between the skeleton and the bird............Sandy
Use of color here is fascinating
Amazing compo! Fantastic clever work! IB
Wonderful work this Dave, not really sure how you think of these, but hey keep em coming.
So worth the wait........I have empathy and understanding on everything here....wether it is as you intended it to come across or not ....hey ho...been here a lot of late and as a true artist should be able to show your feelings through your work and they are are bared to the bones in thisand you sure know how to convey emotion.
Because of our chats wether anyone else will read into it is up in the air...so on a purley visual level it is in my view anyway perfect -the building is likea block of 50's flats we used to have in Slough..only these have as you say a church like structure and a type religious cathloic golden glow on the balconies...picked up on the sand in the indentations, the bird is either in sympathy and listening or waiting to pick what is left on the bones....with you it may not be the sympathy angle,
Love the building..on your island?......anyway what matters is this was worth the wait.......and nobody can take talent away..it is yours whenever you want to use it......pain and love produce incredible work at times....guess your due the better of the two soon my freind.....MOlls.
Great, it looks London if it went all Egypt... Thanks, Amelia
Oh wow Dave - I can read into it what I can read it into it - I might be completely wrong so will not say. But it is a beautiful cathedral of emotions and thoughts.
The colour and the light is so impressive and the comp, well, what can I say........truly wonderful. xxxx
This block of flats certainly has a story behind every window. Its an awesome building as a backdrop to the more harrowing feelings I am getting from the sadness of the sleketon and the interest of the bird.
Top work on those art deco flats dave, but surely there must be a tesco express nearby!
They managed to escape from It, only to find it was no better...the grass that seemed greener was turned to sand by the time they started seeing and not merely looking.
I can almost feel his pain poor bugger ... if you're not careful you'll be as miserable as me soon Dave.
I loved that building last time you used it and still do. Just thinking that the "guys" legs need a hint of shadow to anchor him down into that sandscape though.
listen up listen up
there's a devil in the church.
now then what all this about ?
he is a heavy skeleton judging by the foot prints
looks like Armageddon to me,
it has an eerie quality about it that is very unsettling
i will return and hope some clever clogs explains the unexplainable later
Well , this is blowin a cold breeze lol.
Ta all for lookin , bloody music link got nulled again , so this is musak.
And real thanks Mrs Funky and Molls
mmm , see what you think about the anchoring Mr U , in all the glory of the claustrophobia and trying to get the scale right , the shuffling legs didn't cast a shadow (well thats my excuse)
Ill whack up a variant later , its part of the jigsaw..
Building is magic !
Two brilliant Images Dave...with lovely tones & details
Have been missing your vision Dave - marvellous comeback imagery.
Love the building, looks like something from 1930`s Berlin
Great to see you back. You do a lovely job with architectural despair...
There is a loose connection in my brain between the two images.
mmm , Aint been on much and the musak and message were always in the symbolism of v2 ...
Back to the drawing board then lol
spesh thanks Suyx
Ancient torture and the past the devil is in the ariels he sees thru them..contemplating on my personal hell, and the sands of time continue..
So good Dave..
no one gets it though !
ta Bernie tis a good listen though yeh
Its feckin perfict....
All you gotta do is watch the news and THINK!!!
Blinkers are optional in this life!
Ive stopped off here a number of times in the past to leave my weekly EPZ awards for the excellent creative and imaginative photography captured here.
This recent upload is no different.
Thanks ! twas always loud musak and dark to the tenuous v2
I haven't stopped to think 'what does it mean' either to you the creator or me, but I do know it conveys emotion, it is extremely well composed and worked and I love it Carole
Great creativity and processing skill for sure. Applause
Love the work you've done on V1, and the concept. Brilliant!
Love that building.
Just woke up hahaa b'doing , must wake up some more
Ta toos Sues , Tim , Dave and mad Al !
Ill post the building as the orig laters , twas mapped.
Still think v2s the meaning with da music though...
Exceptional work, very thought provoking. As is version 2.
I have to agree with DaveU re the shadow - the sand could do with some shading at the top near the building to blend with the light at the bottom of the building.
I went to #2, seeing if you put up a mod to Dave's suggestion. Now that's something else, give it a proper airing that's just brilliant, oppression, symbolism its quite a statement. Much better than #1 IMHO
Great building, Art Deco my favourite.
Beautiful complementary tones bring it all together.
Well done again.
Two powerful images.
Amazing and breathtaking !
This held my attention for AGES looking for stuff that is usually within your work, each window is different and the entire building looks surreal with that colour wash, love this piece Dave.
Wow, what a really powerful mix of the modern and the desolate. Inspirational and amazing.
Very much my sort of thing like it regards Leon.
