Rosie is my 90+ year old friend. She has invited us to lunch for a delicious olio e aglio pasta, a specialty of the house. I hope I am half as together as she is when I grow up.

Looks like she uses old cooking utensils, too, Joline. What a remarkable lady, and I'm sure the lunch will be absolutely delicious, I can almost smell the garlic from here Smile Carol

Lovely candid Joline; I like the selective colouring. She's living proof that garlic is good for you Wink

Wonderful - the lady, the idea, the image. I think I'd like to see this all in b&w, that's my only quibble. The red rather distracts attention from the quantity of garlic that she is cooking!

Some people don't know when to give up... Good on her, and may she keep enjoying life for a good while yet.

I hear you Joline. I hope to be as with it when I am old as my mother is today. We just need to keep it together.

I echo Moira's comment. I like what you've done with the background, but maybe some desaturation of Rosie's clothing might be in order, or a total mono conversion.

I'm also thinking, that maybe the colour here is descriptive of Rosie - the way one dresses often speaks about who we are. She seems to like color. So, color, desat, mono, they will probably all work.

I love the way you have used the color sparingly. She looks like a person who likes to keep busy.

Love your shot Joline, but your comment even more! BTW I see your friend is cooking with (probably) Canadian gas, a commodity I cannot have, even though the pipeline goes past here!

I do not agree at all that it should all be mono. I love the small peek at her kitchen then the splash of colour that is the lady. Perfect.
