New Zealand - Heli Hike
Grab a helicopter to take you to the top of Fox Glacier.
Jump out of the helicopter and get your spikes on, only way to walk up here.
Cool blue ice and hard as rocks.
Every step counts here, its not soft snow, its hard ice get your foot grip wrong and you will fall with a hard thump and if on a crevass you will slide down.
This is one of the many ice tunnels naturally formed, as well as crevasses, caves and ice cold ponds.
Not many will see this site, worth the visit

That's extreme hiking. Great tunnel, must feel like going down some gigantic intestine. Great shot. (Pity we can't see the face of the person (it could be my monitor though). JNC

Good shot & pose. I recon though your cameras meter has been thrown out by all that ice so it is a bit under-exposed & flat IMHO. try a Levels tweak in photoshop & it should look a whole lot brighter.
