This is a photo of Corcomroe Abbey in North Clare. Took 5 exposures at f/11, iso100, and merged to HDR using Photomatix.

I'm not sure if I've overdone the HDR processing, any comments or opinions are welcome.

It is the colours here that look a bit odd, I'm afraid. Obviously having not seen the actual scene it is difficult to tell. Some post processing to get a more natural effect may be necessary. You also have major converging verticals: it may have been an effect you wanted, but deliberate use of convergence is usually more successful where the ground is not shown.

I have done a bit of surgery on this! Wink As well as adjusting (selectively) the colours, I've used the transform tool to correct the verticals in the mod I've uploaded - see what you think.

Thanks for that Carabosse. I hadn't noticed quite how strongly the verticals were converging until you corrected them. I don't mind them but I also have some portrait shots of this scene with the ground showing that I will have a look at and try to keep the verticals looking more 'normal'. It was my first attempt at HDR, a bit more practice needed I think!

Thanks for the comments.

This is a nice image but I have to ask, why did you take it in HDR? The shot looks like with a little care you could have taken it as a single image.

Cheers Dave,

Was just experimenting with HDR really, I'm sure the shot could have been captured easily enough with one exposure but I was just playing around with the technique really.
