Corfe Castle stands around eight miles from where I live.

Corfe was a Royalist stronghold laid sige to by Cromwells Parliamentarian forces..the results of the siege are what you see today.

Corfe castle is an impressive backdrop as you enter into the village of Corfe itself..jaw dropping really!!

Hope you like it.

Gareth

You've showcased this so well, Gareth Smile

Wouldn't it be interesting to see what this looked like 'pre-siege'??

Now I can vote on this 'cos the Vote button is there but it wasn't there on your latest! Bah.

Thanks Steve..the sky is different to the original..and is actually unconverted & still in colour..just a stormy one.

The original sky was cloudless .

Thanks for the votes..much appreciated.
