Well it's finally happened!......I've finally caved in and come over all soft and wussie and posted a flower image, just what has the world come too?......Lord knows what it going to do to my reputation?....Well at least it's a wild-flower that was taken out in the field, that's something I suppose ![]()
More news, in case you haven't read about it in the forums, I've finally got around to designing a website, it's nothing fancy and is in fact very basic, but it does contain some images you may not have seen before and at least I now have a presence on the Internet. It also contains a page which displays the live webcam of the hedgehogs, speaking of which I don't know what happened last night as I haven't viewed the footage, but I do know we have at least one resident in the boxes, so the camera will be live all day keeping an eye on him/her.
Special thanks to Ann (pluckyfilly) for her very kind UA on yesterday's image of a Cockchafer......And to everyone else for their kind comments, here's hoping you enjoy this as much even if there isn't an insect in sight
Have a good weekend everyone, I'm off now to empty the moths traps from last night, catch you all later.
Ade
Here some of the linky things to both the new website and the direct link to the webcam if any of you fancy a wee nosy ![]()

Clips are so pretty, but hard to photograph - I bought some (I could only afford 3!) to plant around Albyn's Pond, I never did find an angle I was happy with. I'm hoping for another go next Spring when/if they flower again! ![]()
You've caught your's beautifully, I like the way you've focused on the top two blooms and left the stem to gently fade off into the edge.
Doh! last night trying to view the hedgie webcam I clicked on your website and came out thinking I should not be there
I managed to see the hedgie after all that messing
one is quite large (must be the daddy)
todays image I love, my favourite wild flower have tried many times for a picture as good as this Ade and now green with envy on two counts firstly the hedgie and now the flower![]()
Quote: several of us yesterday were photographing a hedgehog for you!
Only tried photographing mine the once so far, preferring instead to leave them alone as much as possible being as mine are wild and come and go as they please. They're also very close to the hibernation period too, another reason why I'm leaving them alone as much as possible
We do have concerns about one individual though who might be under the optimum weight of 600grams, so if the opportunity arises we'll try and catch that one to check and if necessary keep him in the shed until such time as he's strong and fat enough to survive the winter........Just think, I didn't have a clue about the creatures until May of this year ![]()
A beautiful reminder of spring Ade, I expected to see a duke of burgundy on it when I saw the thumbnail. Hopefully you will upload some more wildflower images in the future, Durb will not believe his eyes when I tell him that you've ventured into the world of flower photography![]()
Well it's good to see variation Ade, lovely comp mate,
Geoff.
What will it be next big guy, a pink flower heaven forbid or some fluffy kittens and soft home furnishings?!![]()

Where is the bug? Is it a micro moth behind the leftmost flower?
How could I miss all this?
