I think this pretty little moth, basking in the late afternoon sun, is a cream wave, but please put me right if this is incorrect.
Three good variants of this
3 great shots Carol, can't decide which I like best as they all have their own special charm.
tend to agree with Andy here.
so a third vote each
The afternoon light has enhanced its beauty.
A vote for each one Brilliant Carol
Whatever it is it's so pretty and beautifully marked.
Wonderful captures of this pretty little thing, Carol, and I have to say I find V3 the most striking 'cos of the light and that sky!
It's got a little snubbed butt, doesn't it??
The start of a ( again ) splendid serie*****
Crisp and clear.
It looks so happy and peaceful there warming its wings. Lovely.
They are all bril. Such texture. Not sure about the species though-sorry. Amazing how its camouflaged against the stalk. Paul
Well caught Carol, the colour contrast against the sky wins it for v3 for me.
What fantastic and great set of images,Carol ,all very beautiful indeed, very well done,
Stunning shot and wonderful colour you seem to have captured the Greek evening light
I have found this sight very good for NH ID if you didn't already know about it
V1 - the dof is perfect.
Basking in the late afternoon sun...
Both excellent Carol
Three cracking shots, Carol, wonderful colours and details.
Super set of images Carol.
great light bringing out the fine colours and tones on this fine wee moth
3 very good shots
Very beautiful, Carol, each one equally delightful, so a third of a vote for each from me!
Great shots, Carol, number 3 particularly.
such fine detail in these - beautifully captured Carol
The light is superb, another excellent detailed set Carol.
A trio of super images xx
Nice captures, Carol - like the lighting and details
Three beauty's Carol with great colour and detail.
Three crackers Carol, I do like the blue sky in V3 but cant choose a fave
A wonderful trio Carol, excellent work as always.
Love them all. You must have the whole of the Med's supply of bugs in Crete at the moment as there are hardly any here on the Costa Blanca.
Love V3 Carol spot on.
Love the contrast of colours in v3 Carol
What a beautiful collection.
Top set Carol - #3 if I had to choose ...Bill
I've seen so many butterflies, ladybirds and bugs today.....trouble is it was my 5 year old grand-daughters assembly and that's how they dresses to show off their project! Well worth a few photos though!
Wonderful detail here Carol.
They're all good Carol, I'm even more convinced of it's ID having seem these images mate, if it isn't then I'm sure it's a variation of......Good work mate.....Apologies if I've been on the quiet side..
What a splendid set of close ups Carol, I take it that the background in v3 is a clear blue Cretian sky and not a t-shirt or pillowcase you've rigged up!
More stunners here Carol. Won't be on the site so much now .Have loads to do and also have more weddings coming up too !! getting my summer clothes washed and ironed .We will be attending a wedding in Edinburgh and just heading to the airport after it to stay at Prestwick to fly out early a.m. ! Gill
they are all so lovely - but no 3 is my favourite with that spectacular light and the blue sky
Amazing set as usual Carol.
Great use of light and the details are excellent.
