I drove up to Dolgellau with fellow EPZer, PEBishop on a whim on Saturday and what a glorious day it turned out to be! Believe it or not, I've toned down the saturation a tad as it was incredibly blue and orange straight from camera but this represents the scene as witnessed. Left the MKIII at home on another lens but the MkII served me well. I've not posted for sometime and have tried to keep up with everyone's posts but forgive any omissions. Thanks for dropping by.

Thanks a lot. Glad you like it. The clouds were the icing on the cake creating wonderful symmetry on the still surface of the lake. The day made up for my last trip there when I didn't even get out of the car after travelling all the way from Cardiff ! Grin

Yes, the clouds are extra special seeming to radiate out from the centre of the image: and even toned down, there is so much wonderful winter colour.

A great sky adding to the wonderful reflection.
I had a magical morning here a while back, with mist and hazy reflections replaced by diamond hard colour as the sun came up.

Gorgeous, the reflected hill coupled with the cloud shapes make the image seem to explode out of the screen at the viewer. A beauty!

Thats absolutely gorgeous Alun. The high cloud converging on the peak proves a great lead in and gives the shot added impact. Have a badge.

Alun, you have captured a beautiful clear day with superb reflections. I like the way the clouds and their reflections guide the eye into the centre of the image. The shot also reminds me I must get down there in the very near future.

Regards, John
