Firstly apologies as I shall be absent for some days as we are redecorating and I won't have time or the energy to be on siteSadSad.
And many thanks for all the kind comments on my last posting Back to the Hills.

The same crocus, taken under different conditions of lighting and with different lenses: V 1........cloudy dull with Nikon DX 18-200mm., and V 2..........bright sunlight with Tamron Macro and with b/g converted to black..........personally I prefer V 1 but wonder what you'll thinkSmileSmile??? I think that softer lighting is more flattering for both flowers and faces.

Ronnie.

v2 has impact and a bold shadow but the softer light brings out the detail and texture better. A small but important point for me is that the crocus is not really a cut flower and looks out of place on the black background.

Good luck with the decorating, Ronnie. We've got some planned but not starting anything until I can leave the windows open without freezing over!!
