This is fascinating, because the cross seems to be combined with an anchor. Where is the memorial?
Difficult conditions, with this side of the monument in shadow. A bit more brightness, luminosity, would lift this.

Have to agree with Moira on lightening the shadows just a little. However, overall this is very nice with the choice of monochrome giving a suitably sombre air to the image.
