A mono of a favourite location of mine on Hadrian's Wall.
Superb, excellent composition Dan,
Lovely image Danny
very nice image...
I would guess that the computer image really doesn't do this excellent black 'n white composition full justice. Would love to see it printed.
Can see why it's a favorite spot Dan looks good in mono
A fine composition and conversion, Dan. Carol
An iconic view, Danny, but you've included more of that foreground wall which gives a lovely depth to the image. Beautifully done in b&w.
A super mono Danny - and a place I'd love to visit. Great detail and textures.
The composition tones and light all come together to make a superb mono landscape Dan.
It's a wonderful place and a grand image of it. I was lucky enough to stand here with you my friend, all too long ago.
Must try and visit there one day, Danny: excellent shot of the wall winding over the land.
Being in a mono mood at the moment I can't help but admire this superb composition.
I know the spot well, but the ensuing descent with its impending pressure on the knees has always cleared photography from my mind
Very fine photograph, excellent b&w.
Impressive, and even more so in mono. One can almost see the legionaries marching along it, exacting their taxes and tolls. Personally I've always sided with the natives!
Great sky which usually works well in monochrome and certainly has done so here .....Phil
what a wonderful vista.
Stunning in mono
Absolutely stunning in mono.
A superb mono image. What a lovely place!.......Sandy
Good shot of your favourite place Danny.
You will know that Leith is my favourite place.
But I dunno if it is the docks or the club that is my favourite bit of Leith !!
Meet you there Danny for
a lovely stroll along the fence line

Lillian It takes one more than 30 mins to climb the Hill to get to it and I feel it is such a waste when I get there and there is no decent light plus the fact it it is really an early morning location.
brilliant tones and textures danny love the comp a mighty fine mono nice one
Interesting shot which is well suited to mono
Very nice tones and textures Danny, great comp and well suited in mono showing very good detail, loving that sky.
Thank you so much for your UA Joline.
Ok Danny, that's too early being retired, like to take the mornings slow
but that sure is an image worth getting to early
I think it might be a landscape worth getting up early for, but only when on holiday ... a really great capture Dan, realky suited to mono ... Carol
Lovely contrast with the mono treatment
A real beauty Dan - so much to see here and the composition keeps the eye moving around the scene very well
A grand view.Looks very nice in B+W.
I was there in early August, cursing my luck with the weather, yet again.Hoping for a nice dawn shot.Didn't get anything as good as this.
Like it. Congrats!
Sunday afternoon I watched a reportage on TV about Northumberland - and the camera zoomed in on the wall, just from this spot and I was thinking of you, knowing that this must be the place where you take your images. I was right. It was this spot.
Another great image Danny,
