In this image I wanted more definition on the handcuffs, rather than the model. I believe i achieved this, showing the feeling of been trapped.

A good idea indeed, and some good insider knowledge there from Roy
. A couple of little niggles for me. I think it looks a bit too posed, and the models's expression is a bit too forced - I think it conveys a feeling of determination and concentration rather than pf being trapped.
I like cath's idea of a crop which I think emphasised the "trappedness".

A good idea indeed, but technically a little lacking.
I would crop both top and bottom quite a bit to concentrate on the cuffs. I would then darken the image and up the contrast - it looks rather flat.
Then, you say you wanted more defiinition on the cuffs than the face - you have done that, but the cuffs still need to be rather sharper.
