I take my Nikon Coolpix 510 in a belt pouch where ever I go. It doesn't weigh a lot, and it keeps my feeling of making art alive in the dull humdrum of daily life. I saw this curled leaf on the parking lot pavement as I pushed my shopping cart back to the car. As I took pictures, people in the lot stared at me like I was crazy. Having been a photographer for fifty years, I suspect that they are right. I use Picasa, a free program because it is fast and very easy to use, which is exactly what Hollywierdians say about Paris Hilton. I used the sharpening tool as well as the saturation tool. The pavement registered as a dark blue, the light rocks in it made a nice starry night effect.

Simple and effective, if just a tad over-saturated.

I love this.....it is a fine display of one of nature's jewels. A bold and daring image which works very, very well.
