Great shot - the big stopper did a great job of adding movement to the clouds and turning the sea into a smooth milky mist. Oh and the composition is spot on as well.

A truly beautiful image, Gary. The 10 stopper has done a great job on that sky and the mountains are a great focal point. The colour and detail in the foreground is also striking.

That's wonderful - and congratulations on the PotW, too! (Can't wait for mine to arrive, but sadly it won't be here for my trip to the Lakes next weekend...)
Hi Gary, Would just like to say congratulations on a well deserved PotW it is one of the best seascapes I have seen, I have just got my Big Stopper and hope I can do as well as you have with it. Regards Dave
Bang on!! Well deserving of all the awards! Supremely dramatic!
Andy
Well I'm sure this shot must be as good as everyone says it is, but am I alone in thinking this genre is now massively overdone? I don't mean to denigrate the photographer's efforts but it seems that at the moment photography is all about trying to outdo one another with these HDR-type images rather that coming up with something original.
It's not obligatory to produce this kind of exaggerated over-dramatized image all the time. Please could we have a little reality once in a while?
