Hi.

I like the use of the leading line that takes the eye to the cyclist; I think he/she is a bit too far away from you, probably you weren't ready for his/her passing and until you set the camera he/she was away.
The frame doesn't look a 3:2 to me, is this a cropped image? I'd cropped it from the sides (more on the left and a bit on the right, to keep even the closest to you lightlamp in place) to a square format and have it converted in black and white.

Hi
thanks for your pleasant comments!

I do agree with you about cropping the image and if you happened to click the redbubble link for prints you'd notice that I've done exactly that. But when I uploaded this frame it wouldn't accept it here for some reason, so I had to go with the non cropped image.
I'd have to disagree about the BW though.
But thanks for ur critique it's very helpful

Everything about your photo is wrong (i.e. most of the photo is just mist/fog, not too sharp, composition SO ON: SO ON) but the more I look at it the more I want to look at it. (if that makes sense)
Have tried doing my own Mod but apart from adding a little bit of contrast I can,t better yours.
I agree NO mono.
Great shot.
Mike.

There's a distracting white mark on the pavement which has been cloned out in the mod. I cropped the photo just as an alternative to the landscape format. I feel there is a lot of space on the left side and this could be used by putting some text there, perhaps a poem or some gritty quotation.

I like the soft tones and the colouration of this photo. Not all photos have to be high contrast, smack you in the face types and this has a quiet, thoughtful quality to it.

Alan.

I like this quite a lot. Very original and an excellent composition. Is the colour natural, or is this a duotone? I can understand either. Misty cyan or mono with a cyan caste. Either way it works.

Paul

Thanks a lot for the kind comments! I'm not sure what duotone is, but I have done some 'colour tuning' in Photoshop. And I definately agree with the crop, it should be a square.
