With rain lashing down on window outside recalling a beautiful spring day earlier this year, Mid Wales at its best, lambs in the fields, new growth everywhere, beautiful countrysde and a pair of steam locos working hard on the climb up to Sugar Loaf Summit on the Central Wales line, Ahh what could be a nicer way to spend an afternoon

Nicely captured and framed, although I might have been tempted to zoom in to lose some of the rough track and trees and make a little more of the trains and viaduct.

Use a Tighter crop to loose the bottom third and make a good shot even better.

After breakfast we are taking a guest to the NRM, York.

Great.
Until I read your text I didn't see two engines.
Must be getting old.

Composition is fine. I would just trim the LHS up to the viaduct pier. I have an aversion to hanging arches.

Just the kind of steam train image I'd like to take - but unfortunately we don't have any bridges like this in my country...

I imagin this was about midday, not the best time for this type of phogotraphy. The compossition to me is spot on. Framed well with the trees, the track with the shadows look great. I dont believe we should always zoom in on the central subject. Was this the 21st April I was at Knucklas viaduct with BG may post it but I dont think it would do well on this site as the trains are quite small in the landscape. Regards AlanC.
