Daisies and a Vase

I posted this awhile back and PamalaJean made the suggestion that the top daisy was too dark-- She was ever so right, so I deleted it to work on it more.

(the spakles on the table are from some silver lame' I was experimenting with for background material???--dubious results)

As to that dog, the cow and the sheep--- ha ha, the neighbors raise dogs to sell, I think the cow will calve soon, and yes, the sheep are lambing--all over the place!

I can't find the original Jenn but this is lovely.
I'll bet the silver lame was difficult to photograph.
I used a Christmas card which was covered in silver sprinkles in Oil and Water Images and results were not as imagined.
What I do love here are your curtains in b/g.

I don't remember seeing the original but the balance seems right here - the 'weight' is in the vase and the dark leaf on the table, which is a master-stroke.
I rather like the sparkles, particularly in the leaf's shadow.

The flower on the table is a creative master stroke indeed, I agree with Moira excellent mono simple but very effective.

Several pleasing elements here Jenn, the composition is excellent, the shadows on the background are not overpowering, the different light aspects on the glass and mono conversion makes this an excellent upload.

Regards

Trev.

A lovely still life in a natural setting. The importance of the background is understated. Beautifully done, Jenn.

For me the strength in this is in the arrangement and the vase Jennn, the reflections are wonderful, as to the mono presentation, I still have difficulty with that where flowers are concerned.

The shadows, and reflections in the glass make this work for me Jenn, the lack of colour is not a problem as there would not be much anyway! nice presentation, like it regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin
