I took this at Ness Gardens on the Wirral this afternoon. It was quite cool and there was not much in the way of flying insects around. I had been trying to work out how to use fill-in flash with the digital cameras in the same way that I used to use it with my (leaf-shuttered) film cameras. (I used to be rather pleased with the fill-in flash on my wedding shots with the Mamiya twin-lens cameras).
I had just seen an instructional video for the Canon 20D and it all seemed so simple! I need some practice to get it just right, the trick is to use it and not make it obvious that it has been used!
