Well, I thought they made a nice pair…. ![]()
I was having a tough time on this, the last dawn shoot of the trip. The sun was supposed to light up Pyramid Mountain (a bit of which is sort of visible in the reflection) but a bank of cloud got in the way. I looked around for something else to shoot and found this little dandelion covered in dew. "Aha!", thought I….

Layers of softness, of various sorts.
I love this to bits. I'm also trying scrolling up to crop off the top a little bit above the white diagonal, which gives a different, simpler picture. But I suspect that you don't believe in cropping.

Like your composition here Julian. The Mountains out of focus reflection gives a lovely balance to the sharp detail of the Dandelion head.

A wonderful Aha moment, looks quite amazing considering the camera and it's limitations. Plus the loss of detail in converting for the web.
All that having been said:- what a beautiful moment and how clover to frame the image the way you did, the wavy diagonal works so well with the circular flower taking centre stage. One of those images that will stick in your head for a very long time to come, and mine too.
