A fantastic inflight shot Tim, brilliant timing once again. He may be making a mad dash and be quick as a flash but he can't evade your long lens!

Excellent in-flight capture of this lovely Swallowtail Butterfly with fine color & clarity. Image must be viewed large, in order to appreciate the details. Nice work with the 7D. Regards...Peter

Stunning (I am not sure even that word captures (sic) how difficult it is to get a shot like this), but then your photos are always of a really high standard. Chris

I can only imagine how hard this type of shot is... It would probably be easier if set up in a 'natural studio' with an artificial canopy which I assume you didn't do so full marks for persevering and getting it pretty darn good! It's a shot which for me would have been great if the butterfly had been flying into the frame and not sideways or away. Minor niggle from a hardened critic. Otherwise the combination of colours and focus are spot on and make for a pleasing image Tim.
Well done.

Thanks Julian. I agree about the flight path... what we really need is to put a little remote control device on them! Smile

Cheers,

Tim
