Early morning as dawn was breaking. The colour version had strange colour so made this one b&w. I just might put the colour one on too. I haven't quite decided yet.

Mono for me too.Recently a judge at CC advised us to use vibrancy layer to help sunrises and sunsets. It
is difficult to capture all the colour you are seeing.GrinKate

The colours of dawn are quite unusual and often look weird but that's what Mother Nature does to us. The monochrome tells these tory so well here Sandy, who needs colour anyway? Lovely rising light and great inky shadows.

A cracking monochromatic mood which you have captured a sense of mood and mystique. Love it for all th right reasons.

Regards to a very talent photographer, love your portfolio,

I really cannot decide on a winner between these two Sandy. I think both are equally attractive, for different reasons. B /W for mood and drama, and the colour having the more delicate character that dawn usually has. It occurs to me that the "strange colour" you mentioned may be a result of the Auto white balance. Super shot, anyway.

I think the B and W presentation at V 1 carries more drama and impact, Sandy: some how the composition seems that bit tighter in the mono. Interesting to read others' comments and preferences too.
