Hello everybody! Sorry for my recent absence... had a lovely few days on our boat in North Wales, and will be putting some pics on here for you to see in the next few days. Here's one to start off with... taken at dawn on Friday morning.
Thanks for looking ![]()

Superb recession and stunning early morning feel, nicely caught - those sort of early morning grey and bronze tones before colour really gets a proper hold of the day. Nice boat - looks to me like a Westerly - Fulmar?
For me a slight crop across the bottom - there is perhaps too much fg water and maybe also a tad from the rhs margin - even though your composition looks to be allowing for rule of thirds the end result may be a little more balanced.
Bit of a flare giving a slightly wierd purple blob just below the cottage - not enough to be distracting.
Good stuff ![]()

Ohh thanks very much for that, Ketch ![]()
Well you're right, that's a Westerly... but it's not our boat. I took the photo from our boat which is a Westerly Galway. Had a wonderful few days, with flat calm water, nice little bit of wind, despite squawly showers.

Beautiful colours. I do agree with ketch, a slight little crop of the water at the bottom. Apart from that I love this shot! You've captured the early morning mood perfectly. ![]()
