Another from last Sunday before the sun broke ... one for Lillian
Taken almost 30 minutes before the sun broke the horizon.
Weekend is now officially upon us, enjoy it guys.
And Lillian is so thrilled to see this one, and to be the first to vote
Ok you win, even better than two days ago, just love the colours captured
so early in the morning.. and the perfectly placed 'lone tree'
and all those rambling hills.
If I had a UA Paul..you would have it!
Just enjoy your images so much..thank you
Yer a star Lillian, thanks indeed and my apologies again for amending the shot prior to your vote
superb. the clarity and colours are magnificent.
You're just showing off now
One tries William, one tries :-P
Cheers all. Just out for dinner so will catch up l8r.
Your English is slipping
Love it mate.
Cheers fella. Just got back in from t'pub ... so now it's chill out time. Last night's House is first on the agenda!!!
All those rocks look like good seats to sit and take in the wonder of it all. Such beautiful tones and the tree looks as if it just descended from heaven. .........Sandy
Thanks Sandy, hope you have a great weekend!!!
Woo hoo, cheers Pete
Just goes to show Paul you can take a well trodden path and come up with a new take this is stunning.
Big thanks Nick, that was my aim last week ... gave me a few other ideas too which I might look into
I've seen hints of it in some of your work over the last year (well more than hints) keep it up it's one of the thing that makes your work stand out.
What I should say what makes this work is the central comp of the tree. If it had been on the 1/3 rds say it wouldn't have been dominant enough.
Hey mate, that's really great to hear particularly coming from you ... means a lot.
Got some [to come] with it towards the thirds ... I'll let you be the judge if it's any less dominant in them. Feels more like a sentinel in this one though - particularly with that patch of bright sky behind it.
Right, have a great weekend all ... catch up later!!!
Congrats on the award mate, you know what I think of this shot!

Can't wait to see, tho the triangulation of the boulders pointing to the tree... Moving to the thirds I guess will move the tree to being more a support act, but I will wait and see.
Aye Martin I do ... but the rest of EPZland don't
Superb. The hues are excellent, perfect comp and the icing is the tree in the bg that draws you in. Paul
Good to see your out and about again Paul even though the body probably protested afterwards.
You're certainly making the most of this area of the dales and coming up with some fabulous images, like this and the portrait version, excellent stuff.
Hope the body has nearly recovered, congrats on the big badges too.
LOL @ Les ... yeah, just about recovered. I chose not to listen too much to the protestations at the time ... but wow they were quite vocal afterwards
Thanks guys, enjoy the rest of your weekend.
