And Lillian is so thrilled to see this one, and to be the first to vote
Ok you win, even better than two days ago, just love the colours captured
so early in the morning.. and the perfectly placed 'lone tree'
and all those rambling hills.
If I had a UA Paul..you would have it!
Just enjoy your images so much..thank you
Lillian
I've seen hints of it in some of your work over the last year (well more than hints) keep it up it's one of the thing that makes your work stand out.
What I should say what makes this work is the central comp of the tree. If it had been on the 1/3 rds say it wouldn't have been dominant enough.
Hey mate, that's really great to hear particularly coming from you ... means a lot.
Got some [to come] with it towards the thirds ... I'll let you be the judge if it's any less dominant in them. Feels more like a sentinel in this one though - particularly with that patch of bright sky behind it.
Right, have a great weekend all ... catch up later!!!

Can't wait to see, tho the triangulation of the boulders pointing to the tree... Moving to the thirds I guess will move the tree to being more a support act, but I will wait and see.
Good to see your out and about again Paul even though the body probably protested afterwards.
You're certainly making the most of this area of the dales and coming up with some fabulous images, like this and the portrait version, excellent stuff.
Hope the body has nearly recovered, congrats on the big badges too.
