Here is the Cinnabar Moth (first one I have seen this year, and neither have I seen any caterpillars) which usually fly by day.

This one is presumably sleeping on then strawberry plants leaves.

Take tonight, with the ringflash and 3 extension tubes.

WDYT?

The larvae over-winter, which is why you haven't seen any caterpillars as yet, the adults have just started to emerge along with the Burnet Moths, egg laying has already started, caterpillars should start to be seen in a couple of weeks....I know I'm an anorak Grin

Good image considering flash was used, well done.....

Great! Did you diffuse the flash in any way?

No, with the ringflash, diffusion isn't usually needed.
