This is a fly that has been trapped in some trampoline netting, it had obviously been there for quite a bit as it has dried out and crumbled away. The eyes have dried out and broken. I thought it was quite eery and strange.
I'm not sure if I should have centered it, tips as usual are much appreciated. ![]()

I think with the fly being in the middle it actually makes the image more eerie - it limits the eye from wandering about the image making it more effective given the subject. (This "wandering" is what is usually given as a justification for positioning the subject on a third, if I'm not mistaken).
Well done on this picture - my only suggestion is to crop out the right part as the chain is in focus nearly as much as the fly's face - it's a bit distracting given that your subject is the fly. My 2 cents anyways - others might disagree of course.
