We had a model night at the Camera Club meeting last night with Debbie featured here. We also run on the same nights an informal unmounted and untitled A4 print competition, mainly to encourage those who don't enter the more formal competitions, and can't print up to A3 size. The prints are all displayed and numbered, and rather than having an external judge, each member votes for their favourite 1st, 2nd & 3rd (excluding their own of course!). The points are totalled and at the end of the evening the top three scoring are announced. I thought that for something different, I'd print off and enter my Unzip a banana! that I uploaded on Sunday...and it scored most and won!
Not sure if I prefer Debbie in colour or mono, so here's one of each Wink
Looking forward to meeting all of those going to the York meet on ThursdaySmile

Congratulations on your unzipped banana, Trev, I'm not surprised at all that it won, it was a crackerSmile
Debbie in colour gets my vote, well captured and presented. Carol

An attractive model, nicely lit and well exposed (I'm keeping to photographic terms here). The b&w is as good as the colour if not better.
Well done for the Club award, Trev, certainly one of the most amusing photos I've seen here.
Regards
Bill

An excellent shot. Colour version for me. I was hoping to get to York on Thursday but got an appointment for another injection in my eye on Wednesday so no driving for 24 hours. I hope everyone enjoys their day.
Congrats on winning the camera club (Best in Show.).

Congratulations on your winning photograph Trev, well deserved!
This is a lovely portrait and, like you, I cannot decide between them so it's a point each!

This is way out of my comfort zone, Trev, and I am not in any position to comment really, but all I would say is that for me you have captured Debbie so well and in a very natural posture.
I like both versions, although the coloured one is my preference.
Ronnie.

Well congratulations! This is way outside my experience or comfort zone too, I find it very difficult to work directly, one-to-one with an individual unless there's activity going on. You've achieved rapport here. But V2 for me, I'm just not very keen on orange...

Hi Trev
Not advisable to tell people you won a prize for your unzipped banana! You might get locked up, serious mate congratulations on your win, exceptional work, also this upload works in colour and mono with excellently placed lights to seperate model from background, and adding great light on the face, if I had to choose I would go mono.

Regards

Trev.

Both versions are superb. Because I quite often prefer mono, I'm going with the mono this time.........Sandy

I think she looks great in colour, Trev.
That banana picture was so clever, I'm not surprised it won for you.

She is so pretty and it is a great portrait Trevor - lovely to see this type of work from you - either version works so well.

Congrats on your banana win - it is such great work - and you always say you have no imagination - you have now shown that is thought was nonsense!
