you know i was going to query whether there was a bit of digital noise here, perhaps due to a cropping of the image or due to the conversion to jpeg... then oi realised i was 3 inches from my monitor and upon returning to a normal position on the chair say 'well done'

more difficult a subject than perhaps folk appreciate and of course a long macro can also be interesting with next to no depth of field.

Impressive especially at ISO 2500 Malcolm, great shot but I think I would have used the Blur tool set at 100% on the BG only, that is before the frame was applied, just a personal view though and no offence meant in any way,
