This is a great example of the correct use of fill flash. Very nicely done, - all it needs as in the mod is a tighter crop into a 10 X 8 format to focus attention on the boy, and a slight increase in contrast.

Regards

Willie

I really like this image ... the boy stands out perfectly without losing the ambiance of the background. Well done.

I agree it is a good example of fill-in and you have captured Dec's mood well. However, I do feel the out-of focus water birds are a distraction.

In the mod I've uploaded for you I have cropped the image and, with the spot healing brush set to 'content aware', removed the remains of the birds. Hope that helps. Smile

This is rather good. A fine example of flash fill - or rather a flash lit main subject - it's not fill. Would crop top and left a bit whilst keeping the landscape image.

Good stuff.

Paul
