A quick grab shot from my bedroom window of a stalwart council worker.
Here's our street cleaner doing a grand job. What job exactly I couldn't make out, but at least he's out and getting some exercise. Grin

I'm not certain there is a right answer to your question, Chris. Here are two observations:
He is dedicated, grafting away for the council.
We and a few neighbours were deluded yesterday when we shovelled snow for an hour and left 'our' end of the street snow-free, because we have since had twelve hours' heavy snow (continuing).
And the light is rubbish, so my camera will stay in its bag because all there is to see is snow Sad

Bill

It's early on a Monday and he automatically reached for his usual trolley at the depot, not yet awake sufficiently to remember to take the snow blower instead.Grin

Quote: doing a grand job. What job exactly I couldn't make out,

The Council exercise their grit wagons by driving them along our road and then reversing out again noisily. They don't actually lay any grit on our road...
I reckon he's an expectant father practising for when he has to manoeuvre a buggy on snow.

A good candid, Chris, he probably has to be seen out with his trolley by his boss in order to get paid Wink Carol

I would think it's a case of Redbridge Council not paying him if he didn't take it out! either that or he's just knocking some more time of his community service order!! Whichever, it was very nice of you to invite us into your bedroom, Chris Smile. And a brownie point for obliterating the number plates Smile

Wow...excellent grab, Chris! Gosh, that yellow stands out REALLY well in the snow, doesn't it?

I like this guy's spirit. Totally undaunted and taking his job seriously.

Either that or photography is his hobby and he's out to grab some snow shots whilst getting paid for a day's work Grin
